Margaret Stohl is back with the sequel to her best-selling Black Widow: Forever Red with Black Widow: Red Vengeance, and just like a Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel, it takes the foundation of its predecessor and upgrades the stakes.

Marvel has done it yet again. This time by telling a compelling origin story with the added benefit of having more than enough hints to the larger “it’s all connected” universe, that it almost requires more than one viewing.

Since it’s first incarnation years ago, the Small Oddities series has morphed into a kind of small and occasional DeviantArt Exhibition.

Part of that transformation is because while I am adept at using words, I am not an artist in the visual sense, so it’s nice to celebrate the artists I come across that take similar inspirations from the pop culture that I enjoy and turn them into their own works of art in various forms.

When it comes to “geek spaces” none is more personal than the screens we toil away on, whether for profession, profit, or passion.
