Microserfs is a novel by Douglas Coupland published in 1995 that is extremely poignant and was ahead of its time. It is also an intimate glimpse into the nerd/geek mind the likes of which I’ve only experienced in my own head.

Spies work together; in teams, in networks, for organizations, and sometimes for themselves. But what happens when one of two former associates is assigned to spy on the other? That’s what happens in Len Deighton’s 1975 classic Yesterday’s Spy.

Despite the time that has passed, the advances in technology and politics, Red Alert by Peter Bryant is still a chilling tale when it is viewed in its original text and not the satirical lens of the great Stanley Kubrick film, Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb.

The Punisher has returned to New York with a season all his own on Netflix. It’s seriously good. It’s violent and it is thought provoking. It’s not something you’ll want to skip as Marvel seems to be raising the bar on itself.

Spy Story is a short novel by Len Deighton. The book is extremely similar to the “Unnamed Spy” or “Harry Palmer” series of books (The IPCRESS File, Funeral in Berlin, Horse Under Water, and Billion Dollar Brain).
