American Graffiti is from another time, about another era, and it is still a magnificent work of art.

George Lucas got his start with and was greatly inspired by art films… and cars. His love for those, as well as music, are all well-woven into the fabric of this piece of art.

Though presuming isn’t the best thing to do, I still have a presumption that coffee makes its way into film because the writing process and production of movies is fueled by the mystical murky beverage.

Therefore, I have compiled a list of some of the more memorable scenes in cinematic history featuring coffee, so brew a pot and enjoy.

If John Wick was the starting bell for a new breed of action film, then The Hitman’s Bodyguard is John Wick’s humorous cousin. And for all the action sequences within the film, it is the onscreen chemistry of its two leads, Samuel L. Jackson and Ryan Reynolds, that holds it together.

Atomic Blonde is clearly one of the best adaptations from the panels to the screens I’ve seen in recent memory…

50 years after the comic that it is named for was first published, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets hit theaters in 2017. The French comic finally has a film to call its own after influencing story, concepts, and designs in Independence Day, Conan the Barbarian, and Star Wars.
