There was a time, not that long ago, where aiming an animated movie at an older audience was quite the gamble. This time also overlaps with the period where Disney was still the king of animation for feature length cartoons and everyone else was lucky to even be mentioned…
Not everything is destined to be a hit or even lucky enough to get “cult classic” status. Ralph Bakshi, who I’ve written a lot about, has made a career of smaller independent cartoons targeted at older audiences that all have gained cult status.

There is one headline that I saw before watching all 13 episodes of Netflix’s last Defender, Iron Fist. It said something about not being a series that the critics loved, because it was for the fans.
I didn’t think that was accurate, although I was sure the critics were off in their vocal criticisms of the series. And having watched all 13, there is only one thing I can say, “If you wish to see the truth… then hold no opinions.”

A Special Report by Agent Parker
During my first weekend playing through “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild,” I encountered a centaur-looking creature who greeted me with an ice arrow, killing me instantly.
The game’s forgiving autosave function had me respawn outside the area’s gate, and I elected to climb a mountain range to my right to not incur his wrath again. Halfway across the top of the ridge, I discovered a giant cycloptic ogre called a Hinox sleeping near a pond.
