Cadets is Young Adult Science Fiction by Edward Miller

Cadets by Edward Miller is Great Young Adult Science Fiction for Everyone

I had not read Young Adult fiction for a very long time, before Cadets showed up in the mail, as a gift from author Edward Miller. It wasn’t that I have anything against YA fiction, it’s just that I don’t tend to think of myself as a young adult anymore, though I don’t really think of myself as a grown up either, even with the responsibilities of homeownership and a career.

CBS’s Scorpion is the A-Team meets MacGyver for the 21st Century

A season one review of Scorpion on CBS

Seriously, Scorpion really is the A-Team meets MacGyver for the 21st century. It’s well written, well cast and thoroughly enjoyable. At times it’s even implausible and the odds are definitely against the team more often than not, but how is that any different from the MacGyver and A-Team television lineage from which it comes.

The first season of any show is about introductions and Scorpion’s first season does that very well without being slow. Granted the title sequence of the show does introduce the characters, but throughout Season 1 depth is added to each and every main character within the show.

Top 50 Duke Nukem Quotes from the Franchise

Top 50 Duke Nukem Quotes from the Franchise

One of the more endearing parts of the Duke Nukem franchise from Duke Nukem 3D to Duke Nukem Forever and everything in between are the quotes that spew from Duke’s mouth throughout the gameplay in single-player and multi-player modes.

With that in mind, I have compiled a list of the top 50 things Duke has said throughout the franchise. They are full of pop culture references and quotes from other characters; Yoda from Star Wars and Ash from the Evil Dead franchise, as well as some great quips putting down other entities, such as the Quake and short-lived XFL.
