This year’s nerd year resolutions are more like a 2014 to do list. It’s just a few simple things I’d like to accomplish for this blog.

Last year’s resolutions went largely accomplished and as such, I’ve decided not to try and stretch too far in coming up with this year’s resolutions, or this year’s to do list.

Movies are for entertainment. Music is for entertainment. Even with today’s portable technology, you will get the most out of a movie, by sitting down and watching it. By that same standard, today’s technology allows us to take our music with us everywhere we go.

Movie soundtracks, allow us to listen to great playlists created by movie directors that we can take with us and listen to. They represent the original mixed tapes.

With Halloween breathing down our necks, I’ve decided to give you a short list of some of my favorite horror movies. In the interest of full disclosure, I am using the classification of horror movie as defined by Rotten Tomatoes.

These are all movies I will watch and rewatch regardless of the time of year, but I wanted to share them with you.

I’ve been quiet for a few months.

It’s all because I’ve moved from one secret lair to another.

Moving can be quite difficult, but for those of us with collections, regardless of what they may be, it can be downright scary!

The 100th running of the Tour de France concluded today in the twilight on the Champs-Élysées in Paris. I can’t really vouch for any of the riders, but this has been the cleanest Tour to date (last year I listed my Top 5 Non-Doping Moments), with the exception that the French press is always looking for doping in any foreign rider who’s winning.

There were quite a few highlights, many more than 10, none-the-less here are my Top 10 moments from the 2013 Tour de France, in no particular order.
