Top 10 “On Air” Moments from PodtoberFest 2016

Top 10 “On Air” Moments from PodtoberFest 2016

By all accounts and measures, PodtoberFest 2016 was a success. I’ve written at length about the goings-on behind the scenes, but as the last of the episodes has now been released as part of 7 Days A Geek’s 30 Days of Podcasting, it’s time to take a look at what happened “on air.”

As such I have devised a Top 10 of my own for the things that happened when the mics were hot, so that if you missed it or decided to pick and choose episodes, I might steer you in the right direction.

Sausage Party is a Hilarious “R Rated” Romp

Sausage Party Review

A Special Report by Agent TBD.

Seth Rogan and a host of Apatow comedy regulars dip their toes in the CG animated movie world with Sausage Party, an R-rated comedy that does for groceries what Toy Story did for Toys with much more disturbing results.

What you should listen to: Couple Things Podcast

Couple Things Podcast

The website states “couple couples chatting about the quandaries of the world.” The main intro into their topics is “every week the four of us bring a topic to discuss barroom style…” How could you possibly go wrong, listening to Couple Things Podcast?

The four hosts are, of course, two couples; Ben & Molly and Von (Michelle) & Ray. But there is also the concept of “podcast married” which swaps the couples around, so be on the lookout for that depending on the topic at hand.

What you should listen to: Reasons Are Several Podcast

Reasons Are Several Podcast

I can’t tell you Reasons Are Several is a sports podcast because sometimes it’s not. I can’t tell you that it is a geek podcast or a movie podcast or a music podcast or a comedy podcast because sometimes it’s not.

However, what I can tell you is that most of the time it is a combination of at least three of those things which makes it fantastic. It really should be a part of your weekly listening queue.
