Welcome to the Playoffs!

“Welcome to the Jungle, baby… You’re gonna diiiiieeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.” Yes, it’s Week 14 in the NFL and although there was a game on Thursday, I don’t count that too much, personally because I don’t have any Browns or Steelers on my team, but if you do I hope you had your line-up all set, otherwise, I hope you didn’t and that you’re matched up with me.

I know that there are a lot of people who didn’t make the playoffs.

Long Live The Muppets, Even if Disney owns them

Kermit the Frog - The Muppets

On a scheduled day off, I took my mother to see the new Muppets movie, written by Jason Segel. First let me say that I will not be giving any spoilers away here so no need to fret. Second let me say that the amount of guests in the movie is wonderful.

It’s good to see that celebs like Jack Black, Dave Grohl, Jim Parsons, Sarah Silverman and many more, were in the movie. It gives me hope that The Muppets could be back to stay. Why did they leave? That’s really more about ownership and finances than it is about relevance.

Your Ad & Agency Grinds My Gears, T-Mobile

T-Mobile

If you watch tv, you see commercials. That’s the way it works. So this holiday season, when I first saw T-Mobile’s “4G Wonderland” spot (embedded at the bottom of this post), I was appalled. How is it possible that an ad agency or the executives at T-Mobile could let something go that to even the most casual observer is, well, appalling?

If you haven’t seen it, the commercial rips (parodies if you like) off the Christmas classic, “Winter Wonderland.”

Battlestar Galactica: A Show You Need to Watch

The series by itself, is a wonderful thing, that I am thankful to have watched beginning to end. Television by it’s very nature is not very ordered, most shows you can watch out of turn, but for those of you who have yet to watch this, I urge you to do it in turn.

The greater picture, the master stroke, if you will, is best seen like a play, one act at a time. In sequential order.
