I have finally read Chuck Klosterman’s debut book, Fargo Rocks City and it was everything I thought it would be.

I understand that as a fan of Klosterman’s work, it is a bit odd that I picked up his sophomore effort Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs: A Low Culture Manifesto and then went on to read and own every other book he has published, save for his debut.

Well, I have remedied that mistake and his debut is on par with the wit and pop culture furnishings that I’ve become accustomed to.

What were we thinking? Why did anyone take it seriously? What is a cru-da-tay?

These are questions that will probably never be answered. But one question that was answered: could we pull off a 24 hour live broadcast of the 7 Days A Geek podcast?

And the answer was a resounding yes!

Halloween is upon us, and although it’s easy to get excited about the haunted houses, scary movies, and the plethora of candy, it can be just as easy to feel shocked or discouraged by the amount of skimpy women’s costumes on the market.

Some women can pull off midriff-baring or super-short costumes with ease, but for many, it can be down-right uncomfortable wearing a “barely there” ensemble. Fortunately, it is possible to be sexy at Halloween while still maintaining a sense of modesty without the frump.

What happens in the after show of Mixlr Live 7 Days a Geek shows, usually stays in the after show. But for some reason the idea for a live 24 hour broadcast didn’t remain there.

Jason The Angry Ginger latched onto the idea and Grant The Kilted One took it and ran. The first thing they did was create a writers room full of writers and thinkers to help create enough content to fill the 24 hours.

For the third consecutive week, a podcast will be released with an appearance by Agent Palmer. This time I had the pleasure of joining Aaron, Dave and their new co-host Cole on Podcast Without Borders Episode 36. It was Aaron picks month and I was honored to be his third choice.
