Do you know Anonymous? Their twitter description is “We are Anonymous, We are legion, We never forgive, We never forget, Expect us.” They’ve been attacking, a.k.a. digitally hacking, governments and other websites as part of their freedom fighting and digital Robin Hood act.
But Monday, one of their alleged members dropped the ball in a huge way.

Neil Armstrong died today at the age of 82. He was a legend and a national treasure. The man who took “one giant leap for mankind” is now, once again, among the stars. The twittersphere has blown up with memorial tweets but no one, that I’ve come across anyway, has asked this one question.
Why haven’t we gone back to the moon, since the Apollo program?

Every so often, more often in the current “internet era”, you see something that doesn’t meld with what you know. I’ve come across two such things: One involves dwarfs and their craftsmanship, and the other involves goblins.

Not too long ago, I went to the theater and watched Ted. I’d seen the trailers and it looked ok. I had very few preconceived notions about the picture. I’m aware that in the case of most comedies, the trailer shows the funniest parts, but Ted held something back.
The plot is a little more thick than I would have expected.

It’s been a hot one. Not just this summer, but this year. It’s going to be one of the hottest in history… That’s what they’re saying anyway. I understand the consequences, this heat has also been accompanied by drought and fire. When it does rain, it’s a thunderstorm that doesn’t seem to drop the humidity and cool everything off like we’re used to.
But I’m not going to talk about the negative effects on farming and the destruction of property from the fires. I’m going to talk about us.
