Really? “Very Dead.” Not just “Dead” but “Very Dead”

The Warlord Epic Battle of Dragonsword

The coolest opening page to a comic book ever? Maybe not the coolest ever, but definitely very cool. It states “one simple law prevails: if you let your guard down for an instant you will soon be very dead.” Yes, that’s right, very dead, not just dead, but very dead. I find that fascinating.

This comes on the first page of The Warlord #53.

Encyclopedia Britannica: In Print No More

Encyclopedia Britannica In Print No More

This week, the news broke that Encyclopedia Britannica will no longer be printing it’s massive volumes of knowledge, instead it will be an online resource. This is big news and a very frightening thing if I may say so, to some much more than others.

Thanks to a friend, I’ve entered the World of Shannara

The Sword of Shannara Trilogy by Terry Brooks

The book is great and as I didn’t just purchase one book, I purchased the trilogy as a whole, so I will be reading the rest.

Every once in a while I have to beat NFL Street

NFL Street 1 Nintendo Gamecube

NFL Street, the original on GameCube is a game that I thoroughly enjoy. Even once in a while I get the urge to beat it and recently I got the urge.

I pretty much play it the same way every time. I go through the challenges and build up my custom team, complete with naming my characters.

I’m amazed by some games like this.

Crashes, twisted metal & fire. Not Michael Bay, Daytona

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday! It’s Daytona. No wait, Monday, Monday, Monday it’s Daytona. After a very long wait the NASCAR season finally got it’s first “Gentleman and Danica, start your engines!” under the lights Monday night at Daytona International Raceway.

It was wrecks, fire and delays. And it wasn’t a Michael Bay remake of Days of Thunder. It was the actual race.
